Retirement at Spring Lake

Our Story

While still in our 20’s, my wife and I discovered that working for other people wasn’t for us. So, we quit our jobs and began working for ourselves.  We started, operated, and sold several profitable businesses.

The bad news is that every one of those businesses were very labor and time intensive. Now that we are retired, it is time for us to replace our income and get our time back. 

We plan to spend a lot of time on vacation so we had three rules for the source of our retirement income:

  1. Don’t spend money to make money.
  2. Don’t spend an excessive amount of time.
  3. Don’t be tied down.
